WaLC writing tutors are trained to work with you to make your writing better. However, the WaLC is not designed to edit your thesis or proofread your entire draft. If you would like thesis help, contact the WaLC (828-227-2274) in the beginning stages and decide on a schedule to work with a writing tutor for an hour at a time throughout your process.

In addition to on-campus writing tutoring, WCU students have access to Smarthinking, an online tutoring option. To gain access to Smarthinking, contact Distance and Online Programs at

Thesis Writing 101: Tips and Tricks for a Successful Thesis
This presentation gives an overview of the thesis writing process from choosing an advisor and a topic to writing and revising a long written project.
