Preregistration is an online web application designed to begin the advising and registration
process at WCU. By answering a series of questions in Preregistration, you will be
matched with an academic advisor who will use your responses to create your first
semester course schedule. Through Preregistration, you can declare your major, indicate
course preferences, and share other information with your academic advisor. Your advisor
will then be able to prepare a tentative course schedule for you before you complete
Orientation.
When Preregistration goes live, you will receive a brochure from the Office of New Student Orientation, which will contain your login information. Preregistration becomes active for summer and fall students at the beginning of April. Students admitted for the spring can access Preregistration in November.
Students will log into their MyWCU account to access Preregistration. If you are having problems logging in, please call 828-227-7487.
Preregistration will ask you about your previous college credit and AP credit. Be sure to have your official transcripts for college coursework (from college you earned credit from) and AP scores (College Board) sent to our Admissions Office as soon as possible. As long as your advisor knows what to expect, he or she will not register you for courses that you've already completed.
Your advisor will create your preliminary course schedule if you have:
