I. Policy Statement

Western Carolina University is committed to providing SHRA permanent employees and University management with a fair, clear and useful tool for correcting performance deficiencies as well as a process to assist management in addressing instances of unacceptable personal conduct.

II. Policy

For SHRA Employees, Western Carolina University adheres to the following State of North Carolina policy*:

North Carolina Office of State Human Resources Subject to the Human Resources Act (SHRA), Disciplinary Actions, Suspension, and Dismissal Policy

*Note: For purposes of this policy, the term “agency” means “Western Carolina University” or “University”.
